Podcast in Limbo

Its February and we’ve been busy with our backlog of 2011 games. As with all of you, we are also getting slammed with work…real life is cruel.  Keep your eyes peeled as we should get episode 9 up within the next couple weeks covering some more of our fond id software memories as well as other random PC games we played back in the days.

We’ll hopefully have some good retro reviews and game discussions posted once we wrap up some of the games of 2011 and also pick away at some of the classics we want revisit (look for some retro reviews of Ogre Battle 64 and Zelda: Majora’s Mask by me…Derek and Mike will have to look elsewhere since I got the N64 covered).

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning looks promising...but that name just emits shit stench when spoken.

As for whats coming up currently in the world of gaming, nothing that exciting. Check out SoulCalibur V, if you are into that sorta thing, which was just released this week. SoulCalibur V is getting mixed reviews but seems promising if the fundementals of that game are intact considering the earlier iterations of the SoulCalibur series were a fun romp. Also keep your eyes peeled for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning which comes out next week and has gotten some early buzz from journalists. I am pretty excited to hear what people have to say about that one when it comes out. That has to be the most ridiculous fucking name I’ve heard attached to an RPG in a long while.

Gaming Is Bad Ass

Look how bad ass gaming is...this dude is so happy because owning that Atari did not suck!

There are many things in the gaming world that really get under our skin at Three Guys One Joystick. So I’ve made this quick (but short and in no way complete) guide to a few things in the gaming industry that don’t piss me off (I can not speak for Derek and Mike though, but we usually agree). I decided to make a list of the things that don’t suck in gaming because an exhaustive list of all things that DO suck would be ridiculously long (albeit funny as hell). So, please join me in this journey of a few of the things you should learn to appreciate and/or make an effort to do in the gaming world.
