I’ve always felt weird carrying around an entire Thanksgiving dinner in my pockets in RPGs, let alone stopping to consume one. But you do what you gotta do.

Last week, Nintendo reported a loss and has posted an even bleaker outlook for its full-year earnings. This may not come as a shock to some considering its aging Wii system and the rocky start the 3DS had. This sparked a conversation Mike, Derek and I had the other day about Nintendo’s life-bar and its 3DS handheld system. I first heard about Abobo’s Big Adventure while browsing the articles at Joystiq.com. I really didn’t know what to expect of this game (considering I never heard anything about it until reading the Joystiq article), but being an NES buff and having seen the teaser screenshot of Abobo’s Big Adventure I knew this was something I wanted to play. I may have gotten as excited seeing the above picture for the first time as I did when I first played Double Dragon 2 with Derek (one of the best co-op games on the NES, second to Contra). For those of you who are unfamiliar with Abobo, he is a reoccurring bad guy character from the Double Dragon series. He’s not your main villain, he just seems to have been cloned 100 times over and always appears at the worst moments to put the beat down on you in all Double Dragon games. Happy New Year everyone. We want to thank you all again for following TGOJ throughout 2011. Its been a great first-time experience for us working on the site and our podcasts and we hope you all have been enjoying the content. We also hope you will enjoy what we plan to bring you all in 2012.
We are finally catching up on all the games from 2011. This in turn will leave us some time to do what we like to do most: bitch and talk about old games. I thought I’d kick off the new year here at TGOJ with a few more things that definitely don’t suck a (insert genitalia of your choice here).
